My TSU3000 is have a really really hard time learning the buttons from the 811 remote. It takes about 20 tries or it doesnt work at all. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

and this is the error code i get. IR code could not be learned. Please try again. (0102)

it does the same thing if i try it through the remote rather than ProntoEdit

Yea i saw that. But the hex codes in that CCF are not working at all. And i was reading something about the 811 remote doing only RF not IR. can the tsu3000 learn from the 811 UHF pro remote?

No the 3000 cannot learn from a Dish 811 remote because the remote sends UHF only (not RF). You have to get an older dish remote that sends both the UHF and IR at the same time. The strange part about the 811 remote is that is will send out IR to control other devices such as the TV on/off and volumne.

There are several CCFs and PCFs that have the codes for the dish receivers in them (the 811 uses the same IR codes as the older dish receivers). You should be able to find one that will work with your 811.

The one thing you have to watch is what address the Dish receiver and remote are set for. The factory default is address 1, but many people have two or more receivers so they set the second receiver and remote for a different address so they don't conflict.

Thanks for that information. I knew something was weird. I accually used the universal stuff that is already in PENG and those worked fine. But thanks again.
