Wondering if anyone out there can help this newbie with a frustrating problem. My TSU3000 will accept as a learned code the volume up button from my Yamaha RX-V2400 receiver factory remote -- placed in my System page on the hard volume up button. There are no other hard button assignments on any other device page. When I use the Pronto after downloading this configuration, the hard button for volume up does nothing. All the other hard buttons on the right side do exactly what they're supposed to do, including volume down. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or what I should be doing to get this volume up to work?

Try this hex: (it work with a tsu7000)
900A 006D 0000 0001 7A85 1AE5 (Vol+)

This work fine with my RX-V2400 RDS

Perfect, worked like a charm! Thanks a lot, you don't know how frustrating that was.

But, I'm slowly making my way, through the wonderful files contributed here combined with Dave D'Arche's guidebook, to my own basic working configuration. After that, my next step will be to make it wife-proof and shift to a task-based arrangement. But first things first.

Jeff,

What you will find is that you want to have a functional config first, then worry about the graphics. It sometimes takes a few weeks of working with a device to really know what you need. For example, I recently updated my config to put the 'Display' and 'Clear' buttons on the 'Keypad' page of my Sony DVD Jukeboxes as they were required to select a disc via Sony's menuing scheme.

If you put in this "ergonomic" UI functional design up front without graphics, you'll save yourself hours down the road when you have to look for new sizes of buttons because you had to move something and the current image is just too darned big.

I think I understand what you're saying. My first effort right now is just to replicate the operation of the four OEM remotes I'm currently dealing with. My next phase was going to shift from the "duplicate remote" pronto by adding a device(s) and page(s) to create one that works from buttons like "watch a DVD" with macros and page jumps. Is this what you mean?

Thanks,
Jeff

Not sure whether you're still looking at this thread, but in case you are, I was wondering if you were able to develop the IR/hex codes for some of the specific sound DSP settings on your RX-V2400. For example, the "Hall" button on the OEM remote will cycle you through two or three different options (I believe . . at work right now, not at home), a German Hall, an Austrian Hall and maybe another. Were you able to create independent Pronto buttons for each (or any of the other toggle DSP buttons, for that matter)? If so, would you mind sharing them by email or posting?

Thanks,
Jeff
