Hello all,
I have a Benq PB-8220 projector I would like discrete codes for.
Benq was nice enough to send me some information that I don't know what to do with.
For example: RGB = 0x000b and S-Video = 0x0013.
Is there a way to convert these codes ( I have a whole list ) to pronto codes?
I've searched here and only found codes for a different series of Benq.
Thanks in advance!

1) did you try the ones for the different series? might be the same.
2) can you post one learnt code and it's value?

I tried the codes for the PE 8700, they didn't work. The only other files here were a .mdx file for another remote. Didn't know what to do with them.
The "souce" button is 0x0008
the learnt code is: 900A 006D 0000 0001 30CF 08F7
The "menu" button is 0x0020
The learnt code is:
900A 006D 0000 0001 30CF 20DF
I really appreciate your help!

That's enough to tell us the general rule. Every code is:
900A 006D 0000 0001 30CF wxyz

Where you replace wx by the command number from the manufacturer and then you use a hex calculator (such as windows calculator in view/scientific hex mode) to subtract that command number from FF and then use the result as yz.

For example: RGB = 0x000b and S-Video =
0x0013.

FF minus 0B is F4 so RGB is
900A 006D 0000 0001 30CF 0BF4

FF minus 13 is EC so S-Video is
900A 006D 0000 0001 30CF 13EC

Could you please email the codes from the manufacturer to me. The email is in my profile. If you need help creating the commands John described I can do those for you and post them. In any event I would like to get the command set.

TIA,

Jon

John Landsman sent me the spreadsheet, Here are the codes from the Tab marked 7000 and 8000 series and PB7100/PB7200/PB7220 and PB8120/PB8220/PB8230 at the top of the page. The codes on the Total tab are for the 8700 and use a completely different device code NEC1:141 and the commands do not correlate with your model.

Hi,

Any chance I can get you to send me a copy of the spreadsheet? I have a Benq 6200.

Thanks,
