I'm finding the pins that lock the remote into the charger are breaking and staying down. Some customers are having problems, and the last two I had here for programming had at least one lock pin crack within only about a dozen removals/inserts. I have told them to lift up first, but maybe they aren't getting it just right. They say they are doing that and it still breaks. I try to be very careful, and still have problems. Any suggestions on a better instruction or technique?

And is there a replacement part for the connector, or do we just have to buy another base?
Thanks
Dan

I've used mine countless times without issue. I've only had one customer out of many that has broken one.

One of my pins broke the first day I had the pronto. I find the tilt and remove obnoxious. I guess I will get used to it. Has anyone had to order a replacement? If so can you give me a clue?

Thanks
Bob

The locking pins on the dock connector seem to be a hassle. I find the "lift and remove at a 30 degree angle" to cumbersome at it current location on top of my entertainment center.

Are they truely necessary?
Has anyone tried removed them?

Thanks,
--Andy
