Lowpro,
I also just updated the firmware after being scared for months, everything with my components are fine. The memory though has dropped from 70 % to 43 %. Very Strange as everyone has found!

Don't be a-scared. :-P At least with the TSU7000 firmware you can revert back if you want. For TSU3000 owners, the prior firmware release will not install after you upgrade to the latest firmware. This left many high and dry at the time when the latest firmware first came out. Fortunately several smart people here figured out how to fool the remote into installing the prior firmware.

With this latest TSU7000 firmware update the memory reported left in the remote is odd. My free memory dropped down considerably as well after updating the firmware. I can still fit no more or no less in the remote as I could before, so its all good I guess. It could always say 0% free as far as I'm concerned, as long as we get that 32 megs as advertised between now and the end of the year.

I have another interesting quirk with the latest firmware and my .pcf file. On my home page I have a button assigned to the tools special action. With the prior firmware it disappears when I press my system on or off buttons and the macros run. With this firmware it just sits there. :-(

On mine it is the button assigned to the setup menu that disappears when a hard button is pressed. Other buttons on the page with page jumps don't make it disappear, but buttons with actions do. This has happened since day one.

Doh! I meant to say "Settings Pages" special action, not the "Tools" special action. It no longer disappears like it should. Now that I have Sony IR codes that work with the latest firmware it's certainly worth the trade off though. I was getting tired of the remote dying in sleep mode. I hope that is really fixed with this latest firmware. So far so good.

Lowpro,

Does your pcf that you offer for download in the DVD Jacket thread contain these corrected codes? I believe it is version 3.3.4. I haven't had time to modify my codes and it would be easier to just copy yours.

Thanks in advance.

jcl,

You probably don't need the work around anymore if you are using 3.4.16 version of firmware that was released last month.

I'll have to give it a try. I still haven't had time to play with my changers.
