I am new to the Pronto, so bear with me. I have an old yammie r-v905 receiver and was wondering if anybody might know what codeset to use or if it is more worthwhile to just learn all of the IR codes?

Thanks for any help.

Learning the codes from the receiver itself is not hard, and that is not only what I would do, but whenever I have a customer with a new model, I learn the commands as part of setting up his remote.

However, I am emailing you a few codesets to try (assuming I see an email address when I go check your profile; if not, email me). They are all for newer models, but might work; you will find some control items different from what I labeled, and usually several of the RX-V1 commands have the same effect on a unit with fewer inputs.

When you try these out, if you get no response at all from your unit, be sure to manually change to a different input in order to see if the new command is simply trying to change your receiver to the input it is already on.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Hi Mark,

I have a lot of Yamaha codes in my 3000 and 7000 config in the Files area here. You can download and grab those codes as well. Hope they work! I have assembled many discrete codes for the Yamaha DSP portion, etc.
