I have heard that it is impossible to have more than one version of PE on a computer. I do not know if that is also an issue with PENG, but I am writing this here in case someone can shed some light on this possible solution to that problem.
All day long I have been fighting an installation problem with PENG on my computer. It is finally solved, with an interesting observation: The program's registry entry is in "Current Users," not a more global section of the Registry.
According to the tech who helped me work out a solution, that means that if multiple users were set up on the computer, then the program would have to be in the registry for each "current" user.
That should also mean that if multiple copies of PE were on the computer, and each one was installed for a different user, the Registry ought to be on top of which one was installed at any one time and keep them from bothering one another.
Any compugeeks out there who can shed some light on this?

You can have multiple versions of ProntoEdit installed on your computer. At one stage I had over 10 versions going at the same time.
However, you can only one version of PENG installed as well as one version of PPENG installed.
It has been reported before that you can have different version installed under different user names. I think it was a professional installer who reported this (who needed to have two versions running to match what clients were using).
