Ok I ordered an IR543AH from A_I and received an IR543. When I called them to order an IR543AH they said no problem. After receiving just a 543 I called x10Pro they say they don’t make the device as an "AH" could someone please clarify & direct me to getting the AH receiver? WHERE? HOW MUCH MORE? Also is Photo Shop the only recommended software for modifying bitmaps? Is there anything less expensive? I’m just looking to modify button labels & other simple tasks. LOL

Search for post by Dave Houston. He explains the differences in them. Basically, Laser Systems (?) designed an add in board for the IR543 to give it more ability (again very basic explanation). The posts by Dave explain it very well and I think there are links on where to buy.

Jump over to the X-10 board. The AH is basically a hacked unit that will allow all housecodes.

Any sw that can edit bmp will be enough to edit bmp files (even MS paint) any SW that can edit png files will work for png files. SW with more features and a user that knows how to use the features will make the job easier, but anything can be used
