can i directly control my bose audio and sony hdtv receivers with radio frequency?? (both the bose and sony hdtv receiver use rf) or must I use the rf extender??
It seems crazy to use rf to the extender and then ir from extender to the components if the components themself have rf capability>
thanks for your input

The TSU7000 sends 418MHz RF and uses ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) modulation. It can only communicate with RF receivers that use the same frequency and type of modulation. You can determine the frequency of a device by looking up the device FCC ID (required by law on the remote). If the FCC summary lists a range of frequencies, the device uses FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) and cannot be controlled by the TSU7000. Read the app notes at [Link: mbx-usa.com] to learn more.

Bose used 27MHz in most of their devices.
