I am in need of discrete on and off codes for a Motorola cable box. If anyone knows where I might find them, the help would be appreciated. Thanks, John.

Nope, don't have any. And the box doesn't seem to like it when you use its power button in a macro. Anyone else have that same problem?

The Motorola cable boxes as well as General Instrument boxes don't have discrete codes for Power On/Off. They don't exist.

I'm not aware of any discrete codes and I recommend that the box be left on at all times. (it saves a lot of grief)
If I can, I'll bury the cable box to discourage fussing with the power button. -- And my Pronto programs don't make finding the power button very easy.
Also, it takes a while for some of the Motorola boxes to wake up. If you turn them on with a macro, don't send the next Motorola command too soon.
If you have channel macros (go to channel 123) you may have to insert interdigit delays.
For some odd reason I often have trouble with "9". At this point I have a standard Motorola device that I copy, but I always check the "9".

Thanks so much for the replies. My salesman also told me to leave the box on and not worry about it as well. Once again ... thanks for the help everyone!
