After the remote charges all night...and I use it for 5 minutes, the power meter is already not at full strength. If I use it all day, sometimes I have to recharge before the end of the day. Is that normal? Should I be contacting Phillips about that?

Thanks,
Bob

Firstly, which firmware version is installed on your Pronto? v2.x was very bad with managing battery life and has been greatly improved with the current version. Also, if you are using rechargeables, version 2 wrongly reported the remaing battery life. I experienced this as even after fully charging, the Pronto would only show 2/3's remaining. Get yourself firmware version 3.1.15 and you shouldn't need to charge so often.

Is there anything else I will need to do after the firmware upodate, or will all the macros still function properly?

Bit of a contentious question at the moment as since I've updated to it, one of my macros has stopped working. Discrete TV ON command works from ProntoEdit Test, but not in the macro. Not very good considering it had been working fine with firmware version 2.
