Does the 7000 use a standard type battery back that can be replaced with perhaps a higher Ah rated battery pack?

OK, I love my 7000. It's about 85% programed to do what I want. I just need more time with it to finish up my configs. Just thought I'd mention that I've had very minimal problems with my 7000 that wheren't "user error". I'm much happier with my 7000 than my TSU-150 (NEO). The only thing is, I like to channel surf. This drains the battery quickly since continuous surfing via my cable box's Favorites button keeps the screen active almost continuously.

The 7000's battery pack, as you know, is made up of 600mAh 1.2V NiMH AAA batteries.

I have seen 800mAh AAAs (+33%) available on the net, and more rarely 900mAh (+50%). Of course, you would have to make up your own battery pack, and of course void your warranty.

The 600mAh batteries have been in use since the TSU6000, back when they were pretty good. Considering that 900mAh is now available, Philips should really upgrade for something as high draw as the TSU7000.

Or, find a way to use AA batteries - you can get 2400mAh AAs (+300%)!

My 7000 gets through an evening's use, but I've had the low battery warning a couple times on a Saturday after a full day's use when I'm

It seems to have worsened a little since it was new; it's recharged daily. I also use it heavily with guides on Tivo and on the HD-equipped cable box (if only the cable box had a guide half as good as Tivo's...)

I charge it every night. It seems to take only 45 minutes or so to charge. I'm going to write Philips tonight - not that it will garner a response...
