Hi,
I'm going to import a ccf file into a ProntoNG, so far so good. The problem is that the ccf file is a SoundServer Imerge S2000 wich as far as I know isn't in the NG's database for devices, and that the editor then will choose its first device and codeset(cable).

Has anyone of you any experience with this matter or some tips & tricks to not destroy the original codes from my ccf file?

How are were the codes stored in the ccf? Were they learned or were tehy from a built-in database? If they were learned, there shouldn't be any problem, they should not change. I think that the NG's database has everything that the older ones did and more, which would mean you wouldn't have a problem that way either.

Try it out and see what happens. If it doesn't work, you are no worse off than you were before.

I just imported a Marantz 5200 ccf into Wizz.it and made it a 5400 pcf. It simply converted the program; then when I downloaded to the Marantz remote, THAT was all that was in the remote.

I assume when you mention the database that you are talking about a procedure for assining codes for a component that you are programming (adding) into the remote. It makes sense that you would do that, but if you download a pcf, does the remote ask you for the brand of each device? Since you can upload to the computer, modify the pcf and download again, it MUST be that the program does not ask you to identify the brand of each component each time, so the database does not come into play.

What comes into play is whether you have the codes in your ccf that you are converting to a pcf.

Right?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
