My backlight quit working today just after 1 years of use. Is it fixable or must I replace the remote? :( I'm not sure it's worth replacing with another tsu3000 with the lousy battery life mine gets. Even after the latest firmware and the docking station and charging pack it gets no more than 7 to 8 hours off a charge. Same as before the firmware update. And I checked, the firmware is updated correctly.

Have you had someone try resetting the remote, either with the button or by removing the battery? I know on the 7000 it will occasionally fail to light the screen at all. A reset cures it. I hope that works for you.

I had the same problem. Not sure if even the reset cured it, but it was either a reset or reflashing the firmware...

First off, after turning my lights off I learned that my backlight did not stop working. It just turned really really dim. Before I could see the backlight even with the lights on. Now with a lamp on you can't tell the backlight is on and with the lights off the backlight is very very dim making it hard to read the button names.
I tried resetting it, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery pack and reflashing the firmware but none of that helped. :(
