Is anyone else having issues with the editing software crashing and/or not opening saved pcf files?

I'm going nuts with Philips tech support for over a month and have gotten nowhere. They confirm my issues and have even received the evolution of files leading up to the corrupt version. I’ve gotten around the issue with much pain but it is recurring to often. I’m averaging 2-TSU7000 units a week but sales are picking up and I’m afraid I’m going to get buried with more.

Have you seen this thread?

[Link: remotecentral.com]

It includes a message from Philips acknowledging problems with PPENG. Hopefully things will stabilize with the next release.

Indeed we have seen the ProntoProEditNG software
causing some problems when editing large configuration
files on some systems. With the ProntoProEditNG
software editing large configurations, that is
configurations with lots of images in it, the
software will require a lot of system resources.
On some systems the operating system and programs/services
running in the background may not allow the system
to free enough resources for the ProntoProeditNG
software to handle a large configuration.

So to enhance the performance and stability of
the ProntoProEditNG software when editing large
configurations, it is best to terminate as many
background programs/services as possible. This
will free additional system resources, and will
allow a better handling of your configuration.

Thanks so much for the link. I've responded and now at least I know I'm not alone.

Philips has been sent CCFs containing the corruption for further investigation. I have no guarantees from the ProntoTeam that a fix will be provided in the next release, however, rest assured that they are looking into the problem.
