I have 2 six zone Grafik eyes, and 1 four zone networked together, with the Lutron IR reciever GRX-CIR set up as an input device. I would like to get a Pronto to control these, as well as my home theatre gear, ADCOM GFA-7605 amp, and ADCOM GTP-880 pre/post, Mitsubishi 65813 TV, and Tivo DVR. Two questions:1.) Can the Pronto easily control the Lutron through the IR interface, or would I be better off with a Crestron or equiv? 2.) If so, which model Pronto would be the best fit. Thanks, John

John, I'm controling mr Grafik with my Pronto (TSU7000 or TSU2000) and it works great. I also have two 4 zone lutron spacers in the same area. I don't them set up as an input device however. I just point to the area where the spacer boxes are located.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard the term "spacer" but I don't know what it is. How does this differ from the Lutron IR receiver accessory?

Hi John, Lutron makes a product series called The Spacer System. They have dimmers with the IR receiver built into the switch plate. They also have regular toggle wall plates as well as Master Controls in the Spacer System. A Master Control mounts in the same gang as other IR Spacer switches or dimmers and controls them via IR internally, which happens behind the switch, as the back covers are transparent plastic. This allows many different scenes to be developed and then controllable via one button on the master. The master has 5 buttons. Each could be a different scene, combining other lights at varying brightness. I do not know exactly what the Lutron IR Receiver accessory you are using looks like or how they differ. I installed a bunch of Spacer products in our recent remodel and they work great plus I can control them with the remote which was available with the Spacer and I also control them with my 7000. Hope this helps. Dave D'Arche http://ProntoGuide.com

I just installed the spacer System. It is great for my needs. The different scenes are wonderful...all from the TSU-7000.
One quick word of advice...Lutron makes the "Spacer" and the "Spacer System" line. They are actually different lines and will not all work together. (I found out the hard way... though I still say that Lutron made a terrible naming decision). Your best bet would be to call Lutron (800--523-9466). There is a guy named Dan that works in Tech support that is VERY good. he will steer you right.
