Hi, I have Pioneer BD-V3500HD Series Cable box from TimeWarner and I'm trying to find a Power On and Power Off commands. I have tried some preset commands from PromntoEdit NG but all of them function as Power commands, not Power On and Power Off. Any ideas when I can find them? Or maybe there is some kind of work around... I'm trying to create System On and System Off macros for all devices.

thanks!

A month ago I decifered the coding for the Pioneer Voyager Cable boxes and specifically have the BD-V3500HD.
I encoded all possible functions codes for the device code and none of them were descrete power codes.

Pioneer has never released IR codes to the consumer. They only release them to companys that make the databases in the remotes. The cable boxes are manufactured in the business electronics division.

One workaround is to develop an Activity-based Q&A approach so the user is asked what is on now and what they would like to do. This can trap the situation without having all of the discrete codes available. Otherwise, on some devices like a DVD, the Play button turns the product on and then you can use the power button just for off. Maybe your box uses a similar approach. The Activity-based model is discussed in great depth in The Guide.
