I have just purchased some RF controlled switches is it possible to teach the RU950 to send the appropriate RF signals?

I obviously have the RF Remote Handset but is there any way of the Pronto learning the codes that are being transmitted?

If so how do I do it?

    Hi Dave

I do not have the name of the switch manufacturer with me at the moment I will check tonight. Looking at the link that you suggest it appears that I can learn an IR code that equates to the RF code using a Powermid unit. However I am not sure what will happen then because the Pronto will still be transmitting an IR code or do I need to change the settings on the Pronto to RF?

You change the Pronto settings and send the code as RF. See...

If they use 433.92MHz RF and ASK modulation, you can probably learn the codes with the Powermid. If not, you're OOL.

Did you get any technical documentation with them?

Geprufte Sicherheit means safety tested but the only reference to WH Mandolyn Intl Ltd I could find is where The Swedish National Electrical Safety Board banned a plug-in timer from them.

    Hi Dave,

Apart from telling you how to set-up the switches for use the only technical information is that it works at 433.92MHz RF. I don't know if you are based in the UK but I saw these unit advertised in the local newspaper for the Lidl Store at a great price (£9.99 for 4 units plus the remote and battery) thats why I wanted to get them to work. I have tried the Powermid to capture the IR signal which appears to work but then when I set the Pronto to send the signal as RF it doesn't operate the switch. Am I doing something wrong, any ideas?

    AJP,

    I'm in the USA.

If they're 433.92MHz, odds are you can get this to work.

It may be necessary to edit the codes after capture in order to clean them up. Can you post one of the learned codes?

I do not have an RF capable Pronto so I'll leave it to others to help with the programming.
