I have two 2000s and have now purchased a 3000. All of my IR controlled devices work correctly except one MP3 player (and my X10 codes). The device codes work perfectly on the two 2000s. Since this device is not on the provided codes list I used the learning mode. The 3000 will not accept the codes from its remote or directly from my 2000s. I called the help line and they kept telling me I was not holding the remotes correctly for the learning process. Concidering that more than 12 other remotes were correctly learned I did not agree with their opinion. They further suggested that I get the codes from the manufacturer. The customer support dept for the device was unable to provide any codes.
I thought mayhaps I could extract the codes from the 2000s binary code but don't seem to be able a way to do this (nor could the pronto expert)
Does anyone have a workaround or other suggestion. Since all of my music is stored on the MP3 player, I am forced to use the 2000s whenever I wish to listen to music.
And yes, I am at the latest upgrade level for edit and the 3000.
Thanks

Did you try simply copying or migrating the codes from your CCF to your PCF?

Thanks for the assistance
I made a 2000 design for that device (mp3 player) only and tested it. It worked fine.
I then imported it into the 3000 edit program. The layout was correct but it would not operate the mp3 player.
I then tried doing cut and paste of the individual codes (binary format) from the 2000 edit to the 3000 edit.
Still won't work. There seems to be something about the 3000 that prevents this set to work on it, even when it has the correct code learned.

Have you tried putting a .5 second delay after each command? This has worked for some people and some codes. It's worth a try. Otherwise try posting the hex code for one or two buttons and maybe someone can spot something odd with the codes.

OK,
I tried adding the delay and the codes still don't work in the 3000.
The device I'm using is a mp3 player called NEO from ssiamerica.com. It's a really neat unit that at 80 gigs will hold all of the cd's I own or hope to own. The unit can be used as a component in a stereo, installed in a computer frame and/or mounted in an auto configuration in a car. It is designed so that going from one venue to another takes a couple of seconds since the electronics are able to be moved from one docking station to another.
Here's the code from my 2000 that does work
0000 006d 0022 0002 0156 00ab 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 061a 0156 0055 0015 0e4c
Converting the configuration from 2000 to 3000 the code in the 3000 set is!
900A 006D 0000 0001 40AF 02FD
Neither of these codes work in a 3000. Even with the delay added.
I'm about to start programing a 6400. I wonder if I can make this device work on it?
Thanks again
bobb
