I have the wierdest thing happening at a clients house and could use some help. There are three locations that have TSU3000's operating in the IR mode. While my client is watching Cable (comcast) the system will occasionally change channels all by itself. The channel it goes to is totally random, it's not a simple up or down. Also, twice a room has turned itself on by itself.Has anyone ever run into something like this before, or is this house simply built atop an Indian burial ground?

I've had a TSU7000 for about 2 months now. Only once can I recall that happening. But it did happen!

Is there a Tivo in the system? I had the same problem but it was the Tivo recording its suggestions which I then shut off.

I've seen both symptoms from Sony satellite receivers and Scientific Atlanta Cable Boxes. I doubt the problem is with the Prontos.

That's a common fault with really cheaply built IR receivers. My digital TV box reacts to random signals by thinking that it has received the last legitimate signal again. In my case there is a workaround. The "Enter" key does nothing if pushed by itself. So I have added "Enter" to the end of every macro I have for the digital TV box. Then whenever it randomly reacts, it just issues another "Enter".

Are there any "energy efficient" light bulbs in the rooms affected?
It has been known for these types of bulbs to emmit IR waves which can affect hi-fi's, tv's dvd's etc, and can cause them to either not respond to remote commands (as it masks the remotes own IR waves), or can cause the items to suddenly do things as if they are possessed!!!

I think I'd go with the burial ground thing. Ancient Indians wouldn't be very good at working remotes... :)
