Anybody tried the new version of the firmware & ProntoEdit software under VPC to see if the connection problem has been fixed??

I think the real question is when will microsoft fix Virtual PC to be Mac compatible again. I haven't been able to run v6 or v5 successfully at all in 10.3 ever.

PPENG could never download on 10.2. Always said the battery was low. Don't know about PENG upgrade.

That's nice because I have had all kinds of problems to the point where I purchased a PC. VPC is slow, takes a long time to come up and bombs alot in Panther. 5.0 seems ok in Jaguar, but in Panther neither is robust, at least for me.

To answer jrubin's original question: no, the new firmware and PENG version doesn't work with VPC.
PENG runs (I am running it on my PowerBook right now), but doesn't connect to the Pronto.

FWIW, I haven't had any trouble with VPC 6.1 on Panther 10.3.2. But then again I just installed it today, so that's not much of a data point, I guess. :)

Is there any prospect of a fix for this? I can't bellieve Philips isn't trying to correct this.
