Links from your "old" home panels to everywhere else should maintain just fine, but unless you were linking to the "Special Action - Home" link, links from your pages to the Home pages will disappear and need to be created.

If you cut and paste you lose links. Drag and drop instead.

Can you drag and drop from device to device and retain your links and such? I have not noticed that you could do that before. Maybe I was cutting and pasting as well.

Everytime I tried dragging and dropping. Crash!!! I even tried copying and pasting (into the same device) and Crash!!!. This was with the new version of PENG. Could have been the .pcf. Didn't get that far into troubleshooting just worked around it and saved often.

drag and drop does the same to me... links are gone.
somewhere in this forum someone (i think it was pronto team) says it will be better to make a new config and merge it with the old one instead of simply opening it with new peng.

i did it and unfortunately i did not recognize the two home panels, then i did some modifications/bugfixes to my config..........................

now i´ve done these modifications again to an older config and it went ok.

@jcl
maybe it´s your system... have you also tried it on an other computer ?

I think you have to "ctl" drag and drop to copy the button with the links intact

Frank - I haven't tried this particular issue on another computer. I use one laptop for my personal files and a work laptop for all customer files. I haven't had any issues with either of these laptops in the past. While I haven't done any real troubleshooting I doubt its the system. More than likely something screwy in the file, or hopefully a program issue that will be resolved. If I get time I'll try and duplicate it with several files and both machines so that we can submit a bug report if needed.

From my hours of effort I have put in playing with the editor, this is what I feel:
It is not possible to retain the links on cut/copy & paste across devices. Links & Jumps are retained only when your drag-drop devices or drag-drop pages within devices. (alternatively, we can use move-up/move-down).
One option which I can think of for the problem is as follows:
When we merge a file, use the pcf whose home pages you want to retain as the source for merging i.e. Merge the other pcf to this document.

correct, maybe it will be fixed/added in a future version of peng !?

next time i´ll know better, but the suggestion was to start with a NEW, empty config and then merge (or better: import) it with the old config after upgrading to new fw and peng.

sorry for my poor english, i´m not that familiar with this language.

@jcl
for me it sounds like a memory problem, as we know peng has.
but when it does not crash with other pcf-files......
