I did a search on this forum and did not find this tidbit of information. My apologies if it's already been posted.

My TSU7000 shipped from the factory with firmware version v3.0.42.3. The latest version available for download from Philips is v3.0.42.1. I contacted Philips tech support and they explaind that the only difference between the 2 versions is that v3.0.42.3 has an additional diagnostic function used at the factory. According to Philis v3.0.42.3 is functionally the same as v3.0.42.1.

So, if you have either version you'll have the exact same functonality/bugs.

That's good to know, as to fix my dead remote I had to run the 3.0.42.1 installer over my 3.0.42.3 firmware.

:)

Thanks for the info.

I seem to recall there was a new version for the 7000, however I recall it only facilitated some factory calibration scheme and has no value to the user. (Or so I was told by a good source at Philips.)

Dewman,
How did you contact technical support, email, phone? If phone, do you have a number in the US?
