Help!! Have tried but Pronto web help has not been much help. Am running Windows XP professional and have a 3000. I have not been able to successfully upload or download with the pronto. I can send a test signal through the cable and through the pronto as I am programming it online. But everytime I try to download or upload - I receive the warning message - Device not connected to computer. Any suggestions?

Worse yet, if I reset it and that doen't fix the problem, then the remote will be blank and I still won't be able to download a configuration.

There is a USB upgrade for users of Win98 and WinME. That may help unless you are already using XP or 2000.

I have the same problem from time to time with my XP systems. If I shut down the computer, unplug the 3000/7000 cradle from power, push on both ends of the USB cable and shout things like [email protected]#$% while jumping on one foot, things work correctly when I restart.

J/K about the jumping on one foot, but I think the obcenities are required.

Resetting does not wipe out the contents.
