Anyone know how to convert a pronto NG file so it can be opened by Wizzit? I'm told it is possible and I am wondering if anyone knows how to convert these files.

Thanks

Jared

I would guess that if you cannot open it directly, then you should be able to open it using File/Import.

Daniel

Thanks for the thread, however, perhaps I am unclear on this comments thing. As the thread suggested, as I was unzipping a TSU3000 .pcf in winzip I Clicked on "Actions" then "Comments" and there were no comments to change. Am I totally on the wrong track? Other than that I am not sure how to change the file comments. Suggestions?

Thanks

Jared

Jared,

You need to open the actual pcf file in Winzip in order to see the comments. Change the comments as per the thread, once change just hit save within winzip, and then you should be able to open the file in Wizz.it

First off, please accept my apology for reopening a thread that's over three months old.

I'm afraid I'm in the same position as Jared. I understand the process, having read the other thread that Mr. Tonks linked to, but when I follow the steps I also have nothing in the comments in Winzip to edit.

Here is my setup, hopefully this will help determine an answer:

*WinXP Pro

*Marantz Wizz.it Version 1.0.8.0_w348.2

*Winzip Version 9 (6028) eval copy

I've been so accustomed to using NeoHacker .7 to convert and edit files for my RC3200 and it never occurred to me when I upgraded to my RC5400 to check into file conversion first. The reason I'd like to be able to convert files is to check out some real life applications of a few of the Philips .pcf files to see if I'd like to incorporate some of the design principles.

Again, my apologies for resurrecting an old thread. My thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone can supply.

I don't use WinZip, I use WinRAR (find it works better for me). All I do is open the PCF as an archive, click the "Info" button, the "Comment" tab, then modify the comment. I'm sure the process is similar in WinZip... or download WinRAR for free and try it.

Thanks Daniel, I'll try it tomorrow.
