I was speaking with another programer today and they told me that the Pioneer Elite series is extremely hard to program correctly. They said something about the IR codes not having dicretes.

This is of concern to me because I am currently having problems programing a Pioneer Elite DVD DV-45A. The transport buttons will work but you have to press and hold them for a little while and then release. It is tricky and I am not happy with it. The menu functions don't work at all. I have downloaded the device in the files section created by Steve Martin and it doesn't work correctly either. In fact the original remote seems to function the same way. Can anyone give me some advice??

Thanks,
MiamiMan!

I would like some help with the following code for the above mentioned DVD player.

This is what I learned:

0000 0067 0044 0022 0152 00AD 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 05A0 0152 00AD 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 05A0 0152 00AD 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 05A0

This code is for the open/close function. It does not work correctly.

I think the code is too long. From what I have read I believe that 0152 00AD is the lead in burst pair and 0015 05A0 is the lead out burst pair. With this in mind I think I have leard three burst pair sequences. I think I could break the down into two. I think the code should be:

0000 0067 0034 0034 0152 00AD 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 05A0 0152 00AD 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 05A0

Does that seem to be correct? I would appreciate any comments.

(McNasty, I promise not to take any advice badly)

Thanks,
MiamiMan

We use Pioneer Elite products (Displays, DVD, CD players) more than any other product because they work very well with the Prontos. I haved used the discretes located in the files section here.

I just programmed a 3000 yesterday with the Pro 1000, the VSX53... and a DV-36 and varoius other components. Works great.

Roddy,

Thank you for your reply. In the same configuration I programmed a Pioneer Elite VSX-45TX receiver and it worked perfectly. I don't know why I am having the problems with the DVD player. Would you happen to have the codes for a DV-45a?

Can anyone look at the codes I posted earlier and give me a little advice?

Thanks,
MiamiMan

I'll double check, I think I only have the DV-36 codes. If they do not work try the play > stop for on and play > power for off. That workaround has been good for me on a few occasions. I believe all other codes can be learned from the OEM remote.

Do you happen to have the discretes for the different screen sizes? If so, please post. It would be much appreciated. Thanx.

I don't think they exist. I've been looking for them for 3 years, unsuccessfully. If you find them, please let me know.
