I need the individual on/off codes for the S500D DVD player. I looked in Daniel's CCF file and could not find it, also done a search both here and at ProntoEdit.COM, both came up empty. Tried the codes listed in the code section but get no response from the player after hitting the button.
If you have them or know where I can find them please let me know. These are the last codes that I need to complete my CCF, and it would feel so great to get it finished. I want to post my file, but would like it to be complete.

Thanks....
Michael

As you notice, I own the same model. I've tried various discrete codes that'll work on *other* Sony DVD players, but none have worked on the S500D. I believe no one has found them yet...

Thanks Daniel, I appreciate your response. Hopefully someone will find a code. I have tried to use my Sony Reciever Remote and it does not turn on my DVD player, so maybe there are no codes for discrete on/off.

It would seem odd that Sony wouldn't build discrete codes into this one item, but I do find it strange how many command sets there appear to be for their DVD players.

Do you know of someplace to write to ask about codes for Sony's equipment. I would be willing to write to them and then put together a complete list of codes for distribution for Proto owners, more or less like you are doing, but to have codes for more merchandise in a downloadable file. I did not know if you might have a contact somewhere. Again thanks for all of your help, and I uploaded my CCF file, maybe it will help someone...
