Hold up!!! I just realized that site is not sponsored by www.jandr.com, but by www.etronixs.com. A question I raise then is WHY etronixs doesn't have the new prontos? My goodness this site has brought lots of business to j&r. After seeing this sites info, I'm glad that sponsors support it but to see etronixs as a sponsor and not j&r is mind blowing after all the customers that j&r has got from here. Hell even the guy I bought my pronto from said alot of people have noticed customers from this site calling in. Whats up with that? The guy from J&R did say they were lucky enough to be one of the first ones to get the TSU2000, perhaps that is why etronixs didn't get them yet(they chose certain vendors first). So is Phillips picking special places to sell the new TSU2000, my friend that works at my local Bryn Mawr said he couldn't get one in, till January if he even offered his sole to the devil. Man j&r owes this site one in my opinion.

Hold up? Supply and demand. It's not what you know, but who you know. This is the United States of America. And a hold up here is a robbery. And Philips does'nt care where they are bought. They sell all they can make.

Bryn Mawr, ehhh? How's the weather out there over the last couple of days? I used to work in King of Prussia at Lockheed, and remember some of the Midwestern storms that moved over the Philly area! I am now back home in Indiana, and we were pretty much spared from the worst of that storm.
Maybe JandR needs to be a co-sponsor of this site, to show their gratitude and generate other business. Etronix appears to have great customer service, and good stock, so if they had the merchandise available, they would be getting alot of the business, I am pretty sure. Just wait to how quickly they get their hands on the Pronto Pro, when it becomes available. I might even visit Etronix, since they are fairly close to me. I am just glad I don't see anything about Fast Eddies anymore, there used to be threads devoted to this place in the past!
I do think Philips does care who sells them. There was a fiasco earlier this year about Philips coming down on e-vendors selling the product below normal retail prices. I am not sure what happened with all of that, but they were going to or did cut the supply to alot of these vendors.

Interesting point Mike. I actually did check the etronixs website by clicking the link Daniel thoughtfully provided us. Although I diligently surfed through a large number of links about remotes, I could not find any reference to Phillips Prontos or Maranz RC5000. As the site lacks a search feature, I eventually gave up and called J&R as many here have done. Kudos to etronixs for sponsoring a bleeding edge forum and website, but low marks, in my opinion, for their own lack luster e-commerce entry.
