ok, i'm VERY new at this. i've downloaded different files to my pronto. i thought i only downladed what i needed, but when i load it to the pronto, i end up with that person's icons, etc... all i want is to program the actual buttons, without having to do it manually with the original remote. help!

Well, it's not that simple. You can merge several ccf's together to get all of the codes you'll need but you'll still have to do some ProntoEdit programming to glue it all together with an interface.

You should read the FAQ. It explains how to go about merging CCFs.

Also, look at the bit that tells you how you can cut and paste IR codes from one button to another.

Revert is used to undo any changes you may have made directly on your Pronto since you downloaded. If you haven't changed anything you can't revert.

Whenever you download to your Pronto, you replace what was ever there.

Read the ProntoEdit manual, and the FAQ. Then use ProntoEdit to set up your CCF and then download it to your Pronto.
