I have a JVC video that requires the timer setting buttons to be held down in order to speed up the time and date selection. I can't get my RC5000 to mimic these key presses. As soon as you touch the screen, it registers only a single press. The only keys that seem to allow you to hold them in are the physical buttons on the right of the controller.( mute, volume and channel). can anyone tell me if you can get a screen button to remain active for as long as you keep your finger on it, or an alternative solution.

Sounds like you didn't learn the code fully. You must keep the remote button pressed until your Pronto beeps that it has learned the code.
