I have attempted unsuccessfully to load a photograph to a frame. I first received an error message that it was too large because it exceeded 240 X 219 pixels. I resized and again attempted to load and received the message that it was not 1, 4, or 8 bits per pixel. Is it possible to modify the bits per pixel and if so, how do I do it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Jim,

How funny, I have been trying to do the exact same thing and came up with the exact same problem as you did! I have no clue what 1,4 or 8 pixels means, I have been trying to figure it out but to no avail. If you do figure it out, would you be so kind as to pass that info. on to me.
Thanks Jim and to anyone that can help.

Guys - I haven't bought a pronto YET ! But I know that 1,4,8 is the bit size for the image. 1 Bit is 2 colors, 4 bit is 16 colours and 8 bit is 256 colors. I hope this helps you on your way !! Good luck !!

You can do it in Microsoft Paint which is already on your PC.

Peter-
Do you do this by going to attributes and choosing black and white or is there another way?

Go to file menu, select Save As. In the Save as type, you can select 256, 16 or 2 color.
