Can anyone fill me in on the main difference, if any between the newer Pronto (2meg) and the RC5000i. Thanks

See the FAQ

[Link: remotecentral.com] for differences between old and new, pronto and rc5000i.

The only interesting difference that the new pronto brings that is not discussed in the FAQ is the onboard database of approximately 500 different man/model IR codes in the new Pronto. This is both a curse and a blessing. A blessing if you happen to have one of the 500 components. A curse since it wastes a few hundred kb of ccf space. As a result the RC5000i has more free memory than the Pronto.
