I am new to this site and am trying to download to my RC5000i and keep getting an error that closes out my browser. cannot figure out what is going on...????

Take a look at the FAQ: [Link: remotecentral.com]Files must be unzipped before you can open them in RC5000 setup. So you need winzip and a browser that allows you to download files. Do you have a recent browser from Netscape or Microsoft?
