I have had a look at CCF V2 file format using CCF Explorer, which has no trouble reading the format. It appears to have not changed at all. The version has gone from 2.1.64 to 6.1.64. Codes taken from the inbuilt database are stored in a similar format to previous codes but start with 8000. The numbers following presumably point to the code in the database. V1.05 does not care if codes start with 8000 and the 1.05 emulator claims to transmit something!

I suspect that compiler/decompiler will still work OK.

I notice there is a new property on a device called "needs programming". A + appears before the device name while this is set. This is stripped when converting to old format. However 1.05 can handle a CCF with this set.

8000 -- isn't that what some B&O and high-frequency codes used?

"Needs Programming" is a new right-click option for a device (along with ones like "Has Separator" and "Is Template").

I've noticed ProntoEdit 2 only partially converts RC5000 Setup 2 files right -- if the RC5000 file had "jumps in macros", they'll actually be loaded and displayed in PE just like they would in RC5000 Setup, with the [J] icon. However, actually trying to run such a macro causes the Pronto to give a "corrupt CCF" error.

I thought the B&Os were 7000 series.

I do recall a few showing up as 8000.
