I had two different cable boxes and I could not teach any of the remote codes to Pronto. For some reason it always fails, does anyone have the codes for this Jerrald cable box codes? Or anybody living around Toronto area and uses Rogers as the cable provider.

I still can not figure out why it does not learn the codes...

Even though I live in Sydney Australia, I have one of those cable boxes...You are most welcome to try mine...Just go to the files download area, select "Complete Systems", and download my CCF. Then look at the device called "Optus".

Incidentally, to save you a bit of time sorting through the buttons: all the codes in the 'Keypad' panel are relevant to the cable box. While in 'Control' panel, only the 'power' button, '

Oops...and 'Display' in the 'Control' panel too.

I couldn't find the channel up button, can you help?

Channel up and down are on the Ch+ and Ch- buttons (hard buttons)...just above the volume buttons... :-)

ok, everything works great! the only thing missing is the page up/down and volume up/down buttons, it would be great if you could send those as well.

Btw, how did you make Pronto learn those codes? I have 2 friends who has the same cable box and Pronto, neither of them were able to teach it.

From memory, page up and down is the same as channel up and down....(at least on my remote anyway)...I didn't bothered learning about the volume up/down buttons because it's supposedly better to leave the volume at the 'best volume' and adjust the volume on your amp/tv/receiver etc.

I got Pronto to learn the codes the normal way...By normal, I meant I learnt them through the remote (putting it in 'Learn' mode), not ProntoEdit. Then you upload the CCF back into ProntoEdit.

Learning codes through ProntoEdit doesn't always work.
