I just got off the phone with Alex x1023 at J and R.
I paid $265.00 for the Pronto 2000 which is now back in stock and $55.00 for the charger stand. I also added the 2 Year Extended warranty for $19.99.

The Express Air post to Canada was only $19.99.

I got excellent service.
Just tell them at J and R that you saw them on remote Central and they will give you excellent pricing.
This price works out to be less then the Canadian Dealer Cost!!!!!

$374.98 total...seems like some are getting better price but that was the best he would give me. Maybe I wasted $10 - $15 but there was very little haggle.

Etronix offered it to me for $358.95 shipped w/o extended warranty and slower shipping.

I can't believe this thread is still alive - J&R must be loving all the free advertising - even if everyone is talking them down to $269 because of it... :o)

www.onecall.com will pricematch and I just ordered the 2000 for $269 and $10 shipping. I mentioned the J&R price and he didn't even verify. They also have a good stock level as of today.

I also called onecall, but the rep said he's gotta call jandr to verify the price and if it is in stock or not. I guess it depends on who you talk to at onecall. I saved onecall a call and ordered mine at jandr. It should be arriving today! thank god I have a 3 day weekend coming up.

I just spoke with Charlie at J&R - 1-800-221-8180. They are getting a little more tight with the discounts. I purchased the TSU2000 + charger + ext warranty + shipping for $367.48.

DS1000 - $64.00
2 Year+ - $19.99
Shipping- $13.50 (normal UPS)

I don't think the price was great, but I am a bit compulsive and just went for it.
