Does anyone actually own and use the European model that IEC is advertising? Is it compatible with U.S. electronics? How about the batteries, can you recharge them with the recharger here in the U.S. or is an adapter needed? I almost purchased the 1Meg version for 260 but would rather get the 2Meg version, I just don't want to purchase a model that is not comparabel to the U.S. 2Meg version or even able to be used on U.S. HT equipment.

The European model is identical to the 1mb US model -- it's just a different case color. Same firmware, software, etc. The recharging base would probably be the US model (ALL charging bases are and always have been silver in color).

The remote advertise at promo-pro.com is not the new TSU2000 remote. It is the old 1 MB version.

I purchased the TSU2000 from J&R after getting a quote of $399 from Sound Advice here in FLorida. The price was quoted at $279, and I got them down to $269. The charger stand went for $69.00.
Good deal.

After ordering the pronto from J&R as I stated above, I called the next day to confirm shipping. The order tracker on thier website does not work.
I was informed that they were "out of stock" which is not what I was told when I ordered it. I came back here and found that etronixs.com had an even better deal yet! TSU2000 and charging station for $320.00.(In-Stock) Being soo close to X-mas, I paid the $15.00 for 2nd Day UPS. $335.00 total.
THANK AGAIN!

I would also like to voice that Etronics SHOULD CONSIDER AN 800 NUMBER!

Dave:

I spoke with the people at IEC. IT appears that the pronto you purchased is not the TSU-2000, its the first model the TS-1000. I specifically asked them to send me the specks and they are the specs of the original pronto. Thats why they are selling them so cheap

Luis,
They never say it's the 2000, and it's also NOT the ts-1000. I know what I bought. Exactly what they advertise, Euro Silver, SBC-RU890.

Here it is:

Just called Etronixs. Pronto for $299 and docking station for $59. They wouldnt budge on price for buying both. Must be too close to Christmas for price negotiating.

Spoke to etronixs today. They said that the price of the TSU2000 and the DS1000 at $320 was a promo, and that the price now for the TSU2000 is $299. Any other sites at a lower price?

I just got off the phone with etronixs myself. The salesman told me that the $320 promo was around only because they'd bought 50 DS1000's at a real good price. After the 50 were sold, no more deals. $299 firm. I told him I'd rather wait a few days for JnR to restock then pay additional $$. He wasn't moved... Next call: JnR.

FYI - just called J&R and spoke to Charlie. They are currently out of stock of the TSU2000. All he could tell me was they are expecting them in 1 to 2 weeks and then they ship it out in 4 to 5 business days - so you are looking at mid to late January.

I had the same problem with Etronixs - wouldn't budge on the price. I ordered one from J&R today. They matched the $320 price for the TSU2000 w/charging base. Downside: They're currently out of stock - but I'm in no hurry. They won't charge my card until it ships ... or so they say.

Just called Etronixs & ordered there last TSU2000. I didn't want to wait for J&R. Again, they wouldn't budge below $299.00 and they were out of the docking stations.

I got mine from I.E.C International Trading Co. 888-901-9932 and paid $304.94 for remote, charger, and shipping. They have a web site but I cant remember the address because I just used the link from thier Ebay add.

They were selling it on Ebay, I got it on 12-11-00

Later,
STEPHEN
