I looked at www.dewinkel.nl as mentioned above.
It's the european model 890 (same as TS-1000).
Do not compare with TSU2000 !

I just purchased the TS1000 for $249 @ a large retailer and thought I got a great price. I was having a real hard time swallowing the $399 price on the 2000 The sales rep told me about remote central. Imagine my suprise when I saw jandr offering the 2000 for $269 I jumped on the phone and spoke with John @ ext.1045 and of course he quoted the $299 price I got him down to $269 and figured I would pay the shipping of $13. I was told that they have a very low supply (must be from all of you folks)I expect to see it before Xmas. I also would like to turn you on to a site that I picked up alot of my equipment through ubid.com great site even better prices on audio/video some new some refurbished you just need to know your prices Thanks for the info

Good News Everyone!

Thank you guys for the information to buy the Philips Pronto TSU2000 at J and R!!!! Otherwise, I would have spent too much money on that at outpost.com for 399.00! There are other sites that sell this product but for either what outpost sells or little more than J and R.

I was able to get at J and R:

Philips Pronto Remote TSU-2000 - $265.00 flat
Chargable unit - $55.00
Ext. Warranty - $19.99

To get this deal. Do the following:

Dial 1-800-221-8180

Ask for Kenny at EXT 1021

Tell them you saw it on www.remotecentral.com

Also make sure you add at least the rechargable unit to get that deal.

It really doesnt matter which merchant but at least do the following above since they seem willing to work with you. Not to mention they're quite courteous toward me.

That's it! Good luck and Happy Holidays!

I was too late! J&R are out of the TSU-2000. Just found out this morning.

Why bother with J and R when our web site sponsor has a better deal: I bought the TS2000 and charger from etronixs for $320 shipped. In stock today, and you don't have to haggle or plead.

Holy smokes! Thank you Peter! Since J&R went out of stock I thought I was going to have to either "settle" for the Euro TS1000 or wait till after Christmas to get my TS2000, but like you said Etronixs has them in stock and I ordered one from them to ship today! What an awesome price too! It was only $15 more than IEC after shipping for the newer unit including charger! I was so desperate for a Pronto that I actually bid $285 yesterday on Ebay for a Euro TS1000 with no charger! (Am I the only one that gets carried away at those auctions? Thank goodness I was outbid! :P) Besides patronizing a RemoteCentral advertiser you helped me get the best deal anywhere! Thanks again Peter for the heads up and a Merry Christmas!

As for etronixs, I really have a problem with a retailer that doesn't have a 1-800 number and when you call on your own dime at 1:00pm (on a weekday) they drop you to voice mail telling you that they will call you back if you leave a message.

If they treat you like that when you are trying to order, I wonder what their return policy is?

Also the Pronto is not listed on the sub-par web page, not that I didn't spend 20 minutes looking for it.

serra it is not Etronix that won't advertise it, it is most e-stores It hurts the High end AV shops when they try selling the remote for 400$ an d you go in and say "I can get it for $250". They complain to the manufacturer (Philips) and the manufacturer (Philips) asks them to stop the ad or else. This is not a Philips / Etronix problem.
There are other manufacturers (look at the RTI Forum) and other e-stores.

www.brandsforless.com is offering $25 off purchase from J&R plus free shipping. Anyone tried combining this with their purchase of the Philips Pronto 2000?

Well, I got My silver Pronto yesterday from IEC, I found them on eBay. No hassle, no back orderes, same day delivery and toll free 1-800 number - Can it be better?
The Pronto is on Special now for limited time, at $229.00 with the docking station for $59.00. They also upgrade shipping for christmas to 2 days delivery.
Anybody can beat my deal?? I don't think so..
They don't advertise a date when this sale ending though...
