As a new Pronto user, I'm confused about copying hex code? I'm trying to copy IR codes for my Mitsubishi TV. I found the string of IR codes for the Mitsubishi TV inputs. When I double clicked on the button properties of my Pronto remote, the action window is displayed. Where do I paste the string of hex code?

You must first add an IR Code in the action window. The easiest way is to Click RC5/6 and choose the default (0 0). Next, double click on the entry "[C]RC5 0 0" to view the hex code. Paste the new IR code into the window provided in place of the RC5/6 code.

Thanks Geo, I get it now. Very cool and easy. It worked great for my Sony VCR on/off codes. But the Mitsubishi codes did not work with my 27" Mitsubishi TV. Does anyone have the discrete codes for 27" Mits? I'm surprised that they would be differen't.

Bob,

It's possible that your TV simply doesn't have discrete on/off codes. I have a 31" Mitsubishi (CS-31303) that doesn't appear to have them - I tried the posted codes in addition to all 256 possible codes. I found a code that resets the color settings (grrrr!), but no discrete power codes. Now I have to get Video Essentials out again so people won't have deep red faces... :(
