If like me you got prontoedit from the philips site - thats you're prob. Its version 1.03 and it didn't work for me.

Get version 1.05 from http://www.prontoedit.com

Can you make other changes? It could be that your CCF is slightly corrupt.

"Add a device" -- how? Can you load the CCF into ProntoEdit? When and where exactly does the error occur? Are you running the latest firmware?

i have tried this with several different ccf files, so it's not a corrupt file peter.

if i double click the ccf file, or if i try to drag and drop it, that's when i get this error daniel.

So you are saying that you cannot open the CCF files at all?

Could they be in RC5000 V2 format which cannot be opened by 1.05?

Try downloading my CCF file -- I believe it's still in the old format -- and check if it works.
