Haven't been able to connect with SW98, so figured I'd try the ZTerm method.

But when I hold down the left & right keys & insert the Pronto connection cable, nothing happens?

Do I have a defective cable and/or Pronto?

Hi,

Make sure you set your terminal program to 115200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no hand shaking. If you still don't get a reply, reset your Pronto while it is hooked up and see if you get any input from your Pronto (if this works, you may want to try a different way to download a CCF: reset your Pronto, hit ESC, type 'dl ccf' + return, send the CCF with the XModem protocol, and type 'go' + return). If you still get nothing, check if both ends of the cable are properly connected and make sure your terminal program opens the right serial port. If everything I just mentioned appears to be fine, I would suspect the cable.

Regards,

Jan

But is there supposed to be a window on the Pronto that opens after I plug in the cable so I can type 'dl ccf'?

When I hold down the L/R keys & plug in the cable, nothing happens.

Jimi, the window in which you type "dl ccf" is the ZTerm window on your Mac, it has nothing to do with the display on the Pronto.
