I have a Sony DVD player that has a "jog wheel" on the original remote. I may not be using the right name for it, but it is the circular dial that your turn left with your thumb to rewind, right to fast forward, and the more you turn it, the faster the RW / FF.

While I pretty much don't like this control, my assumption is I have to replicate it some how on my Pronto (I don't have one yet - should get it in about a week).

I've downloaded all the CCFs I could find in the file area for my particular DVD player, and only one (of about six) looks like the developer of the CCF tried to recreate this control. Is this because it doesn't translate well to the Pronto? Any tips on how to effectively recreate this control (or alternatives that work better)? Any help / ideas would be *much* appreciated.

Thanks for any help (both past & for this)!!

I did a search for "jog". There are 37 threads on this subject. Check out the search tool. Its very useful.

Anyway the thread entitled "Sony DVP-S7700 Jog Control" should get you started, from 10/06/00.

Off topic... I'd put a link to the thread here, but I don't know how to do it. Do I just paste the url?

Oops - my bad. I'll admit I didn't do a search. I'll do that now. And, yes, just copying & pasting the URL will put a link in your response to the thread. Thanks.
