I just received Pronto today. I'm having fun playing with it. I've been successful using Prontoedit and downloading to and uploading from Pronto.
One thing that eludes me, however, is how to bring up the "settings" screens, as described in Ch 5 of the Pronto manual. I'm pressing on holding down on the Pronto icon (for at least 5 seconds) as instructed, but nothing happens (except screen blanking out after several seconds). Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Also, is there any way to change settings using Prontoedit?

Dan, Sounds like the CCF is in "locked" mode as set via the PC program. Have a look in your copy in the PC. It's really handy as you can lock people out of going places they shouldn't be within Pronto itself. (aka screwing up your programming)

Even when you lock the CCF, you can still press down on the 'home' icon and go into the settings to set things like the time and timing for the lights....Maybe you need to press down harder?

Thanks to the responders, specifically, and to this informative group of Pronto board "posters", in general.
FYI, just in case anyone else is having the same problem, I ended up removing the batteries and reinstalling them. Now it works fine, and my ccf was not affected. Not an elegant solution, but hey, it worked.
