After playing with my Philips 32PW9616 TV, I have found a way to assign AV's to channel numbers.
In the setup menu, there is an item called Decoder/descramber. If you select this you can pick a channel number (0 to 99) and the the Av socket to use. It only works on AV1 and AV2 and is intended for a SAT/CABLE decoder but works a treat !
Now to select the channel just set a button on the Pronto to fire the numeric number of the channel - no delays needed between numbers !

Try it if your TV has it !

Great TV, isnīt it ?

Do you know how to switch to RGB input?
i have a DVD with RGB output via RCA, itīs impossible to use a scart/scart cable in this combination.
So to get image and Dolby D i have to use the composite output, since the television only accepts composite or RGB on EXT1. Argh!

Great Telly but conectivity is a little ilogical

What do you think?

Carlos,

I too have a DVD player connected.
To have it RGB it must be connected via scart to EXT1 and the DVD output set to RGB. The TV will automatically recognise when a RGB signal is being sent and the title (at the top of the screen) will say DVD RGB (not DVD CVBS). I'm sure you will be able to get a Scart to RCA cable (try Lets Automate.com or Lektropaks).
Connect the co-axial digital sound to the RCA connector on the TV and in the Sound Setup menu, in digital sources select EXT1+ext dig audio. This is presuming you named EXT1 as DVD !
This works a treat and looks and sounds superb.
By the way I wired the "wireless" rear speakers ( using a RCA to 3.5mm stereo plug) and on DD soundtracks the Bass seems to be better.

Enjoy !!!

Si
