Ok, thanks. Just so I've got this straight. I can do whatever customizing I need on the Pronto itself. Working off the PC simply allows me to do my customizing there THEN download commands to the unit? I would also guess that having it hooked up to the PC you can download pre-created macros and the like. Is that correct? As far as the Virtual PC, that's just software, no board necessary?

You're stuck with the pre-defined layouts and buttons if you only edit directly on the Pronto.

1) you use Pronto by itself, But a) macros on macro side and IR on device side b) Cannot move buttons c) Cannot add buttons d) cannot change shape of buttons e) cannot add frames (text or graphic that does nothing) f) cannot share configurations g) can relable buttons h) can eliminate buttons 2) ProntoEdit a) Makes every step easier (except IR learning) b) Buttons of any shape and size (from full screen to a dot - one pixel) c) add delete buttons and frames at will d) no distinction between macro/device/home 3) Virtual PC is a Mac software that makes a Mac behave like a PC so that you can run on it PC software like ProntoEdit.

Well at $170 for Virtual PC, I guess I'm stuck with editing on the Pronto itself. That is unless they come out with a Mac version of Pronto Edit. But I'm not holding my breath.
