I want my Pronto to light up when I touch the screen. Currently, if I touch the screen the buttons and so on become visible but the light does not go on. I have to manually hit the backlight button to get it to go on. Does someone know what I should do here?

In the setup menu, set the light level slider all the way to the right.

On my recently-acquired silver Pronto, setting the light level slider anywhere from 50% to all the way to the right enables the "backlight on when touching screen" feature.

What this also does is *disable* the ability to have the LCD off and backlight off feature set for separate times. Or more accurately, you can set the LCD and backlight times for whatever you wish (for me, LCD = 120 seconds, backlight = 30 seconds), but the backlight will stay on for as long as the LCD time.

So I have to choose which feature is more important: automatic backlight on when touching the screen or separate LCD/backlight times.

I would love to be shown how I have missed setting this up so I can do both items.

Regards,
Ladd
