I assume you mean ProntoEdit. Did it come on a CD?

Until now, the current version was 1.05.

What are the firmware version? (Press setup for a few seconds and scroll down to 3rd panel.)

"why all the preset IR code in the pronto is gone?"

The reason is probably this:
The default.ccf file that comes with the 2mb Pronto (and presumably, prontoedit 2.0) has the universal IR database included in it.

If you download a CCF from the 'net, at this point it most likely was created with prontoedit 1.05 or earlier, for a 1mb pronto or the marantz unit The universal database isn't included with these models, hence when you upload a CCF created for those units you will lose your "built in" universal database.

I'm not sure if I'm right... but from what I've read the 2mb pronto is pretty much identical to the 1mb pronto except for the extra ram, the color, and the inclusion of an IR database in the default.ccf. WE all thought it was burned into the unit somehow, but if you're losing the database when you upload a ccf into your 2mb pronto that was designed for the older pronto, the new universal database -must- be included as part of the newer default.ccf coming with the 2mb prontos.

Daniel,

presumably you have the CD as well with the unit you received. Are you able to put the software up for download?

i got it, if i merge the default database with the one from the net, then everything is retain in the memory but the file quite large. if not you can use software there are IR database for almost anything. you download any thing from the net and use those interface and get the IR code from the database. One thing is new (i am not sure) is that u can specify the time off for the LCD and LCD light individually.

I would like to up load the software, but i am not sure it is legal to do it. Please tell me. Since Philip didn't put one up yet!!

I was asked not to distribute it -- and I'm not sure it's the final version. But seeing that the remotes are out, I'll ask.

Tandao -

I am "helping" my wife find a new TSU2000 pronto for me for Christmas. :o) I had heard from a retailer that they were not going to be available until Dec. 4th. Where did you get yours? And, if you don't mind my asking, how much was it? Thanks!

Tom
