Playstation 2's IR support requires an IR receiver (which must be purchased seperately) that plugs into the controller port. There's several different brands out there, so the codes would vary based on your receiver..

Which means, basically, no -- it doesn't have an IR port. So, you have to buy the PS2 remote any ways just to get the receiver portion.
