I must be thick but as a new owner I have some general questions: 1. Why does the Pronto come up with a device panel first when disconnected from the computer versus the HOME panel? How do you designate the initial panel? 2. Is there a way to copy IR codes from one device panel to another? 3. How do you add IR codes to the IR DB? 4. How do you just add text without a button to a panel? Thanks for your possible help? MRT

Hi MRT,
1. In ProntoEdit, under Home, what is the first panel below system properties? That is the first one displayed.
2. I use copy and paste. Might be an easier way. Not sure.
3. Haven't done it yet. Sorry.
4. Add a button. Double-click it. Change name to text you want. Change font to Pronto 10, 14 or 18. Adjust Active and Inactive Selected and Unselected Colors tabs to match your needs. You can resize the button with your mouse.
Hope this helps.

I think you left out one thing there Bobusan. When you add the button, you need to assign it somthing. Usaly you can just set a .1 sec delay on it. Otherwise it won't show up on the screen.

1. You only this when you reboot your Pronto. So it really isn't important what comes up first.
4. For text without a button, use a frame.

2) You can copy past, panels, buttons or IR 3) Don't bother, this feature was created for installers (this way they have a library and don't need to relearn the same codes every time), there is no benefit if you are talking about one installation.

1) mark your home panel as write-protected, then it will be displayed first. 4) use a frame instead of a button. As soon as you enter text and choose a font, it will be displayed. Background and foreground colors can also be adjusted.

Denis: the older Pronto (current? - TS1000) has only 1Mb the newer (TSU-2000) has 2Mb. In both cases, that is total memory (Configuration, OS, ....). For the TS1000 the actual usable memory is 380K. P.S. I have read that there have been some TSU-2000 that have started to circulate.
