Does anyone know why when the Pronto is left unused for a week or two, the codes either get corrupted or lost entirely. I am positive this is happening, as the Pronto was untouched during this period. It worked perfectly on the codes in question two weeks ago; now the codes either do not work or cause OTHER responses. The problem is immediately fully corrected as soon as the CCF is downloaded again to the Pronto.
Does anyone recall having a similar spontaneous loss/corruption of codes????

I suspect a neighbor (or the electric company) is bombarding your house with some form of radiation. The radiation causes degradation of the Pronto's flash memory.
Try parking the pronto in a lead lined box. See if similar degradation occurs.
I kid, perhaps. Then again, do you know your neighbors?

I think it's time to scrap the home nuclear generator.
Or, if that isn't the case, are you running the latest firmware? And is it the same buttons all the time... on on one/some devices (what are they)...

No nuclear generator is present, and we are far from any neighbors...
Seriously, the x-10 codes seem to be the main culprits; I am using the ir to x10 command console sold (by universal electronics). Somehow the commands really do get corrupted over time, requiring reloading of the ccf. I am running the latest firmware (app.4.85 and sys. 3.62).
